About Vicksburg-Tallulah Regional Airport

Since opening to the public in November 1992, Vicksburg-Tallulah Regional Airport has built a solid reputation for dependable, high-quality service. Known for our responsive line crew and friendly atmosphere, we proudly serve both transient and local pilots with professionalism and Southern hospitality.

Located in Mound, Louisiana, just minutes from Vicksburg, Mississippi, VTR is a joint venture between communities on both sides of the Mississippi River. We average 20–30 flights per week, supporting aircraft with weight capacities up to 75,000 pounds.

Airport Governance

VTR is governed by the Vicksburg-Tallulah Regional Airport Board, composed of five members:

  • One representative from Vicksburg

  • One from Warren County

  • One from Madison Parish, Louisiana

  • One from Tallulah

  • One “swing” member, appointed alternately every four years by Warren County and Madison Parish

This structure reflects our regional partnership and commitment to serving the broader Delta community.

Services and Capabilities

  • Navigation Systems:
    We offer Localizer, GPS, and Full ILS for Runway 36, including GCO (Ground Communication Outlet) to connect with Flight Services directly from the field.

  • Line Services:
    Our dedicated staff ensures quick and efficient turnaround times. Fuel services, courtesy vehicles, and top-tier support are always available for incoming aircraft.

  • Facilities:
    Our terminal includes a pilot lounge, planning areas, and access to refreshments and restrooms — all designed with your comfort in mind.
